EO Melbourne Chapter News

December 2025

Hi ,

And just like that…we’re somehow at the end of 2025.
I swear it was July about five minutes ago!

It’s been a big month to close out a big year, and we managed to pack a lot in.

A Month of Connection, Learning & Celebration

We kicked things off with a summit in Adelaide alongside all the Chapter Presidents across Australia and New Zealand. It was a productive couple of days filled with shared learnings and a united commitment to collaborate more closely across the region - all in service of delivering even greater value for our members.

The following week, we hosted the first event in our new Cultural Learning series - a Shabbat Dinner generously led and opened by Dean Cherny. It was warm, insightful, and a powerful reminder of the richness that comes from engaging deeply with each other’s cultures.

Back home, we wrapped up our AGM, paired with an exceptional presentation by Simon Kuestenmacher. As a fellow lover of data and storytelling, I was in absolute heaven.

A huge congratulations to Costa Vasili and James Murray, who’ve been elected Co-Presidents for 2026/27, along with our entire incoming board.

I also joined my own forum for our Infinity Forum Mini Retreat, where we slowed down long enough to see Melbourne with fresh eyes. From staying at the new 1Hotel Melbourne to exploring lesser-known laneways, sharing a Jeffersonian-style dinner at Marmelo, and hearing from Hatem Saleh of Atlantic Group, it was a powerful reminder of how valuable it is to step out of the day-to-day and lean fully into the EO experience.

And of course, we closed out the year in style with our Christmas Long Lunch at Zinc in Fed Square - a fantastic afternoon connecting with members and alumni alike, and a reminder of the enduring relationships that make this community so special.

Looking ahead to 2026

We’ve locked in a strong line-up of events and experiences for next year - more learning, more connection, and more opportunities to grow as leaders, entrepreneurs, and humans.

A huge thank you

To our entire EO Melbourne community - thank you for making 2025 such a brilliant year.

Your energy, your generosity, and your willingness to show up for each other are what make this chapter truly special.

Wishing you a wonderful break, however you spend it. Rest up, recharge, and I’m excited to see you in 2026.

A lot more to come next month - and as always, if you’ve got feedback, ideas, or want to connect, I’m just a call, email, or WhatsApp away (except during the usual 6–8pm family chaos).

See you soon,

John Bevitt

EO Melbourne Senior Leadership Program Launch

On 28 November 2025, we officially launched our new Senior Leadership Program, in partnership with Debra Chantry-Taylor and Adam Harris from Business Action.

Designed for senior leaders working alongside EO Members, the program supports those leading in fast-growing entrepreneurial and family businesses. The launch was a strong start, with participants diving into big questions, sharing experiences and gaining practical tools to strengthen their partnership with founders.

Spanning 12 months, the program focuses on trust, communication, decision-making and building structures that enable growth. Each participant also receives curated resources, including a Kindle with recommended reading and a full learning pathway for the year.

Missed the launch? Don't worry, you can still enrol your 2iCs as the program officially begins on 27 February 2026 with limited spaces remaining.

For questions or enrolment enquiries, please visit our Senior Leadership Program page or contact Kirsten at manager@eomelbourne.org.

EO Melbourne Board FY 2026/2027

Following our Annual General Meeting, members helped shape the Chapter’s future by electing the leaders who will guide us through FY 2026/2027. The Chapter warmly welcomes back Past Presidents James Murray and Costa Vasili as Co-Presidents, bringing their combined energy and deep experience to the year ahead.

To our newly elected officers, congratulations; your commitment and ideas will play a vital role in shaping a bright and impactful term. We look forward to seeing your leadership flourish.
