EO Melbourne Chapter News

February 2026

Hi ,

And we are back!

After a solid break over the holidays, I’ve come into 2026 with fresh energy - and a personal theme that I keep coming back to: Intentional.

Intentional with how I spend my time. Intentional about who I spend it with. And intentional about how I want to show up - as a leader, parent, partner, and EO member.

There’s something powerful about starting the year with clarity. And it’s been a great reset to help me hit the ground running - for the year ahead, but also for the second half of this chapter year.

Mid-Year Reset: EO Melbourne Board Retreat

Next week, the EO Melbourne Board is heading to Hepburn Springs for our Mid-Year Board Retreat. It’s our chance to reconnect, reflect, and reset momentum for the next six months.

Board service is demanding - but it’s also where some of the most transformational growth happens. We’ve got a sharp focus on how we keep delivering value to you, our members, through the second half of the year.

What’s coming up?

There’s plenty to look forward to with great speakers coming up and plenty of chances to connect with other EOers:

  • Jess Hatzis – Co-founder of cult brands Frank Body and Willow & Blake - will share her journey building brands that punch way above their weight.

  • Brad Montague, the creative behind Kid President, is flying into Melbourne to run a bespoke workshop on creative compassion and how it shapes great leadership. Brad was a standout speaker at GLC in Honolulu - and this one will be something special.

  • Pickleball is on the cards for later this month - a fun, easy way to connect with fellow members (and work up a bit of a sweat).

  • EO Family Day at Strike Bowling in March - bring the crew along and have some fun outside the usual business setting.

  • Member Connect Dinners are back - curated, small-group catch-ups designed to deepen connection and spark great conversation.

It’s shaping up to be a high-impact few months - and whether you’re jumping into events, catching up with your forum, or connecting with a member one-on-one, my hope is you do it with intention.

Let’s make the most of this second half of the year - together!

As always, if you’ve got feedback, ideas, or want to connect, I’m just a call, email, or WhatsApp away (outside the usual 6–8pm dinner-bath-book-bed chaos, of course 😉).

Cheers,

John Bevitt

Know an Entrepreneur Who’s a Strong Fit for EO Membership?

Help shape what’s next for EO Melbourne by referring a Melbourne-based entrepreneur you respect, someone running a AU$1.5M+ business and aligned with growth, connection and shared learning.

Startup to Scaling Up and From the Ground Up: How to Build a Cult Brand with Jessica Hatzis is an invite-only event, happening on 20 February 2026, that offers a front-row introduction to EO through a standout member panel featuring Donna Guest, Emma Welsh and Hannah Vasicek, moderated by Leah Akoka.

With just 20 places and a seated lunch included, it’s a powerful way to introduce a potential member, especially women entrepreneurs, to the calibre of thinking and support within EO Melbourne; direct them to express interest here: https://www.eomelbourne.org/vip-event.
