Hi ,
We’re heading into the final quarter of the financial year - and for EO Melbourne, the final stretch of this chapter year.
It’s a natural point to reflect. But more importantly, it’s a time to look forward.
Behind the scenes, we’re already planning for the transition to the 2026/27 board, with James Murray and Costa Vasili stepping in as Co-Presidents. And while a new board always brings fresh energy, new ideas, and different perspectives…there’s one thing we’re very intentional about:
Momentum.
EO is a volunteer-led organisation. Every year, the board evolves. Some roles transition, new leaders step in, and naturally, there’s a period of ramp-up.
If we’re not careful, that can feel like a reset.
But the goal isn’t to start over each year - it’s to build.
That’s why we’ve anchored our chapter around a three-year plan. As we move into year two, it gives us continuity in what we’re trying to achieve - while still allowing the incoming board to shape how we get there.
Fresh thinking, without losing momentum.
New energy, without reinventing the wheel.
It’s something I’ve come to appreciate more deeply this year - both in EO and in business.
The best teams don’t rely on individual brilliance. They build systems, rhythm, and clarity so that progress compounds over time.
And transitions, when done well, become accelerators, not interruptions.
As we head into the final few months of the year, our focus is simple:
