If you had one word to live by this year, what would it be?

"Intention" would be mine.

You see, every decision we make takes us on a different path. And as leaders, these decisions can significantly shift the needle on the compass for our people and our business.

Settling into the new year, we can find ourselves swept away into the day-to-day activities, being pulled into meetings and called upon to fight fires.

This year, I seek to sit with intention each morning and have the clarity to make decisions that serve the future. I must remind myself that long-term thinking will improve my short-term decision making.

To help you on your journey of growth and learning, we have sent you all an exclusively branded EO Melbourne OAK Journal. This tool was created by an EO member in Colorado who has tied in some of the most life-changing techniques from books such as Mastering the Rockefeller Habits and Scaling Up in the one journal.

Situational Mentorship 2.0

The EO Global mentorship team is proud to present Situational Mentorship 2.0! They are back with improvements based on the feedbacks received. This is open to all Members and Accelerators. The application intake will be ongoing and new relationships can start and end as quickly as needed.

Participants apply here by February 1st to be included in the first round pairing!

Please note we will start pairing the first round as of February 1 and will more than likely let people know their partners by February 15th. The year 2021 starts with a bang! It has been an eventful start to the year with some major developments on the economic, political and markets front. All indications are that 2021 could be as challenging for investors as 2020.

While Trump's antics have dominated the headlines, there are a number of other events that are worth highlighting:
COVID is raging even more fiercely across US & Europe and the vaccine roll-out has been slower than expected in major countries.
Biden’s fiscal package is simply enormous and shows that policy support will dominate again in 2021.
Inflation concerns are rising faster than expected due to COVID-induced supply bottlenecks.

Recommendations: Stretched valuations mean there is a need to be cautious on overall equity and bond markets. Pockets of value remain, however, particularly in the recovery trades where there is also the potential for strong bounces in earnings. The global healthcare sector also remains relatively cheap.
