Welcome, we are embarking on an exciting new year for the members of our beloved community at EO Melbourne. I am thrilled beyond words for the incredible year ahead as the leading chapter in APAC!
Let's get to some chapter news! I'm delighted to share that our renewal rate for FY 2023/24 stands at an impressive 90%. Well done to Damian and the
outgoing board on their stellar work last year!
I am sure that you have noticed, we have implemented a revised dues structure, splitting global and chapter dues. This was required to adapt to the decreasing AUD currency rates. This change ensures that we have the funds locally in AUD to run the chapter. Plus, members now have the option to pay EO Global fees quarterly, offering greater flexibility.
Globally, EO chapters are entering a new era of governance as we introduce a new governance structure which allows for control of membership and
sanctions. We have established a Chapter Governance Chair, congratulations Costa! This vital role will uphold our Chapter Bylaws and values as well as dealing with rowdy behaviour at events and supporting the moderators to address leadership issues. All three members of the committee are past Presidents so congratulations to those who volunteered.
The board and I recognise that our vision can only become a reality with your unwavering support and active participation. Let's unite, push boundaries, and transform EO Melbourne into a beacon of success. Together, we possess the power to achieve remarkable feats! We can shape EO Melbourne into something extraordinary as this is the year we will push to 200 members, making us the largest chapter in south APAC,
encourage members to attend two or more local events and increase the leadership skills of the chapter.
